WAR OF THE WORLDS by wallace WAR OF THE WORLDS by wallace
An 'oldie' which I've reworked a bit.

added more contrast and small shift in overall colour tone.

I know, it's not quite like the Spielberg/ Cruise project.
I prefer the original time setting of the novel:)

Please view fullsize thank you

Its a good thing that you prefer the 19th century setting, for that its the original (better) version.

Beautiful picture.
Shame 'bout the train, though.

19th century south of England is a much better place to get attacked by aliens than modern New Jersey.

Yes, the scene with the train was in the H.G. Wells book too. I am still waiting for a good made movie set in the original victorian era too. I did not saw the Pendragon-version yet, but it get devastating critics and wasn't released in germany. Thy Byron/Haskins-version from 1953 is the best so far, even if it set in the 1950s. The Spielberg-version was not bad too, but it missed so much from the book and the flair of the 1953-movie too.... I wanna see the tripods vs. the "Thunder Child" on the big screen!! ;-)

love it I sometimes draw differant versions of the tripods but I'm never happy with the result no matter what and so I save th one picture and work on another but this picture is a design of the tripods I never would have thought of
