This is the third image for a small dino series that will get printed on tee's.
It turned out to be one of the most complicated pieces I've ever done (dragons included )
Painted with PS CS3 and Wacom Graphire 4 tablet
A rock texture is used on several parts to speed things up a bit
I got asked several times how I make the skin textures (in general). basically its just scratching a lot with a 3 pixel hardbrush, it's time consuming work, but you get these fine textures that don't look airbrushy which enhances the realism
This is really cool. I love how you textured the skin, it must've been a lot of work getting that all done! It's really beautiful. I love how much depth there is in the triceratops. He looks like he's going to walk right off the screen! Great job

( first) \ Btw Vincent, I don't know if I've missed any info about your works. But since I see that you've worked very hard on these dino works, will you do anything with them (since you don't publish them as prints, while these stunning works can totally help you gain benefits) ?
I love this! Firstly, I love the amount of detail you put in the skin. Second, I love the lighting. and third (as always) LOVE the background. Awesome work!

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
