Fire blazed across the sky as two heavy bodies collided, the screech of claws on scales deafening even to the terrified creatures below.

Snarling, the red slashed at the blue, catching him across his shoulder and side, eliciting a pained roar in return, including a heavy claw on his muzzle and a blast of flame at his eyes. They were equal in all sense of the word as their battered, burning wings flailed in an attempt to keep them both airborne. Kings of the sky, and in their prime, none could challenge them.

But still, one would have to fall. . .
